Tacos in a Pasta Shell
Looking for a fun twist on Tacos? Try Tacos in a Pasta Shell - yummy and fun.
1 1/4 lb Ground Beef
1 Small Onion - Chopped
1/2 container Cream Cheese with Chives
18 Jumbo Pasta Shells, Cooked and Drained (I cook a couple extra in case of breakage)
1 C Taco Sauce
1 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese (My boys prefer Mild)
1 C Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
1 1/2 C Crushed Tortilla Chips
1 C Sour Cream
1 - 2 t Chili Powder
2 T Butter, melted
Toppings:
Shredded Lettuce
Black Olives
Green Onions
Tomatoes
Preheat oven to 350*. In a fry pan, brown the ground beef and onion, drain. Reduce heat to medium low, return beef to fry pan, add the chili powder & cream cheese, stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
Toss the cooked pasta shells in melted butter. Fill with meat mixture, place filled shells in a greased 9 x 13" Polish Pottery Cake Pan. After the pan is filled, pour Taco sauce over the top of the shells. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, top with cheeses and then the Tortilla chips. Return to oven, uncovered and bake for 15 minutes or until bubbly.



Remove from oven, top with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives etc.
