Turkey Vegetable Soup
Since the Thanksgiving Holiday will soon be approaching, I thought I would share a favorite soup. This is the quick and easy way.
3 cans of Chicken or Vegetable Broth
3 cans of Water
2 C chopped cooked Turkey
2 C diced carrots
2 C frozen peas
1 C celery - chopped
1/2 C onion - chopped
1 C potatoes - diced
1 t celery seed
1 t Garlic Salt
1 t fresh ground pepper
In a large pot combine everything except the peas. Bring to a boil, lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for an hour, take off heat. Let sit for an hour. Add peas, bring back to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for another 15 minutes, it is now ready to eat. Serve in Polish Pottery bowls with a side of crusty bread and enjoy!
*If you are fortunate enough to cook the Thanksgiving Turkey, save the bones and boil them up with carrots, celery & onion for a great broth instead of using the canned broth.
