5 inexpensive ways to Market your Biz

As we all know, it is expensive to market your home based business and our budgets are extremely tight, here are 5 things I have done, maybe they will help you too!

1.  Car Magnets - I've had my magnets for over 2 years now and most of the time, I forget that they are there, but I get stopped and asked about my business quite often.  In fact just the other night the boys and I went to McDonalds for an ice cream snack and the drive through worker asked me about the pottery, I told him about it and handed him my card.  You can order car magnets through a local printer or Vistaprint.com

2.  Church - The church that we attend has an online directory for members to post their business, FREE of CHARGE!  This is worth looking in to, or if your church doesn't offer this service, maybe mention it and see if there is someone willing to start one.

3.  Preschool - At the preschool my youngest son attends, the parents are able to utilize the bulletin board near the entryway to post brochures, business cards etc. - again, it is free of charge.

4.  Speaker at a Moms Group - Always remember that you are an EXPERT in your field, call a few of the local Moms groups and see if they are interested in having you as a speaker.  Make it a fun night including appetizers, giveaways etc.  Don't expect any sales the first night, remember it is about getting your name out there.

5.  Wear it on your chest!  While on a plane traveling this summer, I noticed an ad for queensboro.com - I checked out their website and their "try it today" offer was a Short Sleeve Polo Shirt with my logo embroidered on the front for $2.95 - total cost.  At this time I am waiting for the shirt to arrive, but I am hoping it is a nice looking shirt.  But for $2.95, it isn't going to break my marketing budget.

We all know about FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Merchant Circle etc. - whatever you do, always be on the lookout for ways to network and share your business story.
