What more can I say - these cookies are just plain DELICIOUS!

Preheat oven to 375

1 C Shortening
2/3 C. Brown Sugar
2/3 C. White Sugar
1 egg
1 t Vanilla
Cream together

2 T Hot Water
1 t Baking Soda
Mix together and then add to creamed mixture.

Add to creamed mixture:
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 C Flour
1 C Oatmeal
! C Crushed Corn Flakes
1/2 C Coconut
 Mix until everything mixed and moistened

Add by hand:
1 C Chocolate Chips
1/2 C Pecans (may omit)
 
Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet and bake for 7 - 9 minutes until golden brown. 

"  Note:  My boys are NOT fans of Oatmeal cookies, but they LOVE these!
