Celebrate Paczki - Fat Tuesday

Happy Fat Tuesday!  In Poland today is called Paczki (punch - key) Day and is the feast of plenty before the Lenten fast begins.  Traditional food for today is Paczki (deep fried pastries) similar to a jelly filled doughnut.  These will be enjoyed by many people, lining up in the Polish Bakeries.

Ash Wednesday is tomorrow, the Lenten season is beginning, so the sweets, fatty foods and alcohol will be given up.  Enjoy today with a Paczki - I know I will!
