Beef Vegetable Soup

5 C Water
1/3 C Pearl Barley
1 C diced Carrots
1 C diced Celery
1 C diced onion
1 15 ounce can Chopped Tomatoes
1 T beef bouillon granules
1/4 C Ketchup
2 t Morton's Seasoning Salt
1 t basil
1 bay leaf
1 lb Ground Beef

Brown ground beef, pour off any fat.  Add beef and all remaining ingredients to a stock pot,  Bring to a boil, then lower hear and simmer for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.  Serves 8.
