Peanut Butter Cookies
Did you know that you can use a Polish Pottery cutting board for baking too? I use mine for homemade pizza, cookies, cheeseburger roll-ups (recipe coming later). Baking is great as always with Polish pottery and the clean up is a breeze!
1 C Sugar
1 C Brown Sugar
1 C Shortening (Crisco)
2 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
2 t soda mixed with 3 T Hot water
3 C Flour
1/2 t Salt
1 C Super Crunchy Peanut Butter
Add sugars & shortening - cream together. Add eggs & vanilla - beat until creamy and smooth. Add soda, water, four & salt. Mix well. Finally add the peanut butter (creamy can be used also - we prefer the super crunchy). Roll into teaspoon sized balls and flatten with a fork. If the fork starts to stick to the cookies - dip in sugar. Bake at 375 for 7 - 9 minutes. Take out of oven, let sit on baking sheet for 1 minute - remove to rack to cool. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
