French Apple Pie
My mom's French Apple Pie is a family favorite in our house, I hope you enjoy it too!
6 - 7 medium Apples - mix of sweet and tart
1/2 - 3/4 C sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
3 T Flour
1 - 2 t Cinnamon ( I use it at least 2 teaspoons - I love cinnamon)
Mix dry ingredients and then toss with apples - make sure they are covered with mixture. Place in unbaked pie crust. Dot with 1 T butter.
1/4 C of butter
1/4 C Brown Sugar
1/2 C Flour
Mix with a fork until butter is size of pea. Put crumbles on top of apples.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425, then turn oven down to 350 for additional 25 - 30 minutes. Let cool and serve with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
